Volunteers load a 40-ft container with 713 items or
boxes bound for Bethel Baptist Hospital in the
Philippines.

One of the many inspirational stories we are happy to
share from our Project S.A.V.E. family
Dear Friends,
This
morning as I reflect on the great day we had Saturday
and all the work that was accomplished I am so very
grateful. Thanks to Bob Adams and his diligence in
gathering an army of workers--and feeding all of us, we
had an amazing morning. Thank you Bob!!
A
total of 713 items or boxes were placed in the 40 ft.
container. The container is scheduled to be loaded onto
the boat in Oakland today in preparation for the long
sea voyage to the island of Mindanao in the Philippines.
It will dock in the port at Cagayan de Oro, and then
will be placed on a large flat bed for transportation to
Bethel Baptist Hospital in the city of Malaybalay.
When I got home Saturday, there was an email message
from Dr. Melicor, (the receiving surgeon) expressing his
gratitude and stating that the staff had prayed for us
during the time that we were loading. How nice to know
they were thinking of us...and even praying for us
during that time! My thanks to each of you for all the
hard work involved in loading the container. Also a
special thanks to the ladies for their assistance in
sorting suction canisters and sharps containers which we
were able to include. We seldom have time to concentrate
our efforts to get these together when we work on
Tuesday mornings, so this was truly an added bonus.
Attached are several photos which I hope you will
enjoy. Simply click on the attachment and scroll down to
see them as one appears on each page. Thanks again and
may you be blessed for spending the morning with us at
Project S.A.V.E.!!
With warm regards,
Janice Walker
