One of the many inspirational stories we are happy to
share from our Project S.A.V.E. family
Shipment arrives in Togo and Burkina Fasa
What a victory! It has cost us substantially more than
expected, but what a blessing it will be. In Togo, there are
2 dental chairs for a local dentist (delivered to us by the
Amason's from the Bay area), 2 exam tables for a new doctor
just setting up his office, many boxes of medical & dental
supplies for both the hospital and clinics. We also sent
desks, chairs, bookcases donated from Enloe for the school
that Leaping Stone recently built.
Fabric from the Annie's Star quilting guild here in Chico
will be utilized at the school. Dr. Gary Walker donated two
really nice printers which arrived on the very week the
shipment left and we were thrilled to include them. In
Burkina Faso, they will be receiving a vast array of medical
supplies, hospital beds, and other equipment for the local
hospital in Dano. Clothing and school supplies were sent by
Chico Christian School for needy children, and Carole Dean a
local donor sent a box full of balls and toys.
Both
countries will be wearing T-shirts from the American
Cancer's run for life!! If you are not aware, Burkina Faso
is listed as one of the poorest nations in the world, and I
am sure every item will be of great value to them.
What a blessing to know our efforts have succeeded!! My
thanks to each of you who worked so diligently or
contributed in any way to make this possible. I also want to
say a huge thank you to Professional Hospital Supply for all
the wonderful supplies they contributed for this shipment
and to Ada Dong at NZS shipping.
Her
patience and help throughout all the complications with the
container are so appreciated. May God bless each of you for
all you do to help others. I will post photos on our web
site at chicoprojectsave.org when we receive them. Thanks
again.

Got a call from Paul this morning
saying they were unloading the goods into the trucks. He was
very excited. He mentioned how wonderful everything was.
They cannot take pictures at the dock, but he will try to
get photos once they get the goods to the next location for
sorting. We did it!! Thanks for all your help. It was a
bumpy ride, but if you could have heard the happiness in his
voice, it was worth it.
