Greetings to All:
I
wanted to send this floor plan
and photo so you-all can have a
"visual" of the Nigeria
destination we have been packing
for! How exciting to see the
building coming along so nicely!
As you will see in the email
below, James cannot meet the
container until June, so I will
try to secure the shipping date
of March 17th. We will just have
to have patience as I know the
shipment will be ready to leave
within a week or two! Since it
ties up two of the units much
longer than we anticipated, we
will have to depend on the
storage owners gracious
generosity to let us use other
units. They have agreed to do
so.
Just for a moment,
put yourself in the situation of
James, a man from a little
village in Nigeria. Thanks to
the opportunities he has had in
America, he is able to finance
this building. He called me
stating his village had no
medical care and asked if he
would build a building, would I
help him with supplies to fill
it......and by the way did I
know any doctors who might help?
My heart was so touched and of
course I agreed to do what we
could. With the help from
Project SAVE to fill it, it will
have exam tables, beds, a dental
chair & xray, desks, and boxes
and boxes of supplies.
Dr. Geelhoed's team of doctors &
residents have graciously agreed
to help him get it set up and
will be traveling there
periodically to do surgeries.
Can't you just imagine the joy
James will feel when the first
patient enters the doors? How
exciting to be a part of what
God is doing through the life of
James Umekwe! Someday I hope
James will be able to travel to
Chico and share his joy with
each of you.
Thank you, thank you for the
part each of you have played in
making this possible.
