"It was a day of rejoicing when the
container arrived and we unloaded it
at the hospital."

Sal was in town and Geoffrey was on call… there was a knock at my door and Anna said, "There is an emergency, can you come." I immediately followed her to the clinic to find a 68-year-old white farmer lying in the bed with a concerned wife standing at his side, and a son at the foot of the bed. They were very eager to start telling me their story.

Thanks to Enloe Hospital, we were able to send a C-Arm X-ray unit, many hospital beds, and a desperately needed incubator.

A father of 11 who has lost a leg in a mining accident struggles to keep his family together, and then...

I want to say on behalf of the people and the Government of Sierra Leone that your donation was well received and the destination of Tissana received the large bulk of the equipments and products.

Overwhelmed with joy and amazement
"Everyone at BBH was just overwhelmed with joy and amazement when they saw the wonderful stuff inside the van."

An update from Ngandu

Ngandu - and another miracle
"When we first saw Ngandu he was indeed very sick... as a matter of fact, he was dying."

My heart just sank, and then...
"I thanked him for all he has done, said I would look for someone else and my heart just sank. As I was about to hang up, he said..."

Holding back tears
"I couldn't help but explain to the Cameroonian that was helping us with Customs what the flag means to the free world, holding back tears as I did."

The container arrives!
"A call was sent out late at night to all the villages and at 8 a.m. the following morning, 30 or more volunteers came in force to unload the 40-foot truck loaded with medical goodies."

A lesson in patience and perseverance
"If you ever want a lesson in bureaucracy, come to Africa..."

Maria's brave battle for life
Maria was the first of her husband's wives. The second wife had hidden in the dense foliage, waiting near the path, suddenly attacking from behind..."

Surgical outreach helps hundreds
"After two weeks, our team had done 107 surgical procedures, 88 of which were major cases..."

Sewing machines send message of love and support
"Three hundred young women have been rescued from prostitution and are being schooled and taught marketable trades."

Thank you from Bethel Baptist Hospital, Philippines
"Imagine the shouts of delight! The "ooohs" and "ahhs" from the staff and the happiness over their brand-new equipment and state-of-the-art medical equipment!"
