It was delightful to wake up this morning knowing our supplies to Uganda are on their way!! We are so grateful for each of you who came to help make this happen. I want to send a special note of thanks to the Well Ministry for allowing 4 of the men to come help with the loading since we were quite short handed! They made a tremendous difference. Read more.

Thanks to members of the Chico Breakfast Lions Club for building and providing lumber for our crates! This piece of equipment is a Cryo-cut Microtome which surgeons use to do frozen sections, donated to us by Dr. Mark Cook of Oakdale, CA.

It will be part of the next shipment to Cardiostart for a hospital in Kurdistan. Thanks for the wonderful help. The crates give us assurance that these expensive items will arrive safely. We so appreciate your help and support!

February 7, 2012:
I have to admit to being absolutely overwhelmed by the generous donation given to us today from Professional Hospital Supply. I am so humbled and appreciative for all the great items. The volunteers were all so excited to open and separate the goods, and to be able to send them to such needy nations. What a blessing!! One of the groups we are gathering for is a group called Zest4Kids, and a 40-ft. container will be going to Uganda to their home for disabled children.

To see the new crutches, walkers, shower benches, gloves, slipper socks, lotions and other items was simply amazing. We all went home looking like drenched cats from all the rain, but we are as happy and grateful as we can be!! Thank you all so very much for allowing us the privilege of sharing with so many!

I wanted to send this floor plan and photo so you-all can have a "visual" of the Nigeria destination we have been packing for! How exciting to see the building coming along so nicely! As you will see in the email below, James cannot meet the container until June, so I will try to secure the shipping date of March 17th. We will just have to have patience as I know the shipment will be ready to leave within a week or two! Read more.

Gift bags from Project SAVENovember 20, 2011:
Volunteers from Project SAVE have started a great new endeavor of packing gift bags for new babies and surgical patients to send along with our overseas shipments. Maxine Rodgers volunteered to put together bags for adults, and Raedene Rogers gathers supplies for the little ones. Already these bags have been used by Cardiostart in mission trips to Peru and Vietnam. Boxes of these gift bags have been included in containers to New Guinea, Philippines, Belize, Vietnam, Nigeria, and Uganda. It is a personal touch for needy patients including: toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, new wash cloths, brush, comb, lotions and razors in the male packets.

Pictured, left to right, are volunteers Raedene Rogers, Linda George, Susie McCoy, & Maxine Rodgers. Second photo: Maxine Rogers with adult gift boxes and items.

Greetings! I am forwarding a note from Natalie Huberman of LeapingStone who sponsored the shipment to Togo. This has been a difficult shipment to get through especially since it was a combined container, 20 ft. going to Lome, Togo & 20 ft. going to Burkina Faso. We are immensely grateful to hear it has arrived. Katy Warren who raised the funds for Burkina Faso, also emailed stating the truck is being loaded for Dano, Burkina Faso and will depart either today or tomorrow. Read Dr. McCoy's story...
